Achilles International helps transform the lives of people with disabilities through athletic programs and social connection. An extension of Achilles, the Freedom Team, consists of wounded and disabled veterans and builds on their overall mission of physical strengthening, building confidence, and generating a supportive community. The GM Military Appreciation program has been a proud sponsor of the Achilles Freedom Team for 13 years.

Each fall the GM Military Appreciation program hosts the Achilles Freedom Team during the Detroit Marathon with special accommodations, exciting visits around Detroit, and a weekend centered around them. Our team was tasked with refreshing the overall look and feel of the weekend while promoting GM’s partnership to Achilles and spreading awareness for the event. We created a wide range of collateral for the weekend including everything from personalized collectible cards and informational signage to customized Spotify playlists and event keepsakes. And one especially memorable piece, the “Conqueror’s Circle”, that features personal interviews with members of the Freedom Team highlighting their everyday struggles and accomplishments.
